The 25th and 26th of April marked another unforgettable weekend at Newlands Cricket Ground, and honestly? We're still smiling about it.

What a Weekend at Newlands Market!

From the moment the doors opened, the energy was electric. Local artists took to the stage across both days, filling the space with live music that set exactly the right tone, the kind that makes you slow down, look around and feel grateful you showed up.

Live Music, Coffee and Morning Movement

One of the weekend's most talked-about moments came courtesy of the Slow & Steady running crew, who joined us for a morning run followed by a full-on coffee rave right here at the market.

If you've never experienced the joy of dancing with strangers over a good cup of coffee at 10am, we highly recommend it. Truly one of those "you had to be there" moments.

A little Cape Town weather was never going to dampen the mood.

Virgin Active Brought the Fun

Virgin Active also brought serious fun energy with their activation: a red ball hidden somewhere around the market, waiting to be found by one lucky winner.

It had people exploring every corner of the space, which, let's be honest, is exactly the kind of energy we love to create.

Rain Could Not Stop the Community

And then Sunday brought the rain. But if you were there, you'll know it didn't stop a thing. We moved our sit-down dining area under cover, kept the entertainment going, and the market carried on in full swing.

That's the thing about this community. Rain or shine, people showed up, supported local vendors, enjoyed the music and made the most of the weekend.
